OF MANOR

A personality.

Some places or houses are hard to describe in any other way. This also applies to the 'manoir' with its magnificent view of the valley of 'Les Mirandes'. Balanced, tightly defined and stately, the country house has stood there for more than a century and a half as a magnificent 'viewing box' in the landscape. And at the same time it is not flashy and subtly embeds itself in the surroundings. It is also a thoughtful and special building - as if it were plucked straight from a Parisian boulevard - to the dimensions and taste of an urbanised nineteenth-century bourgeois. The whole is surrounded by a playful landscape garden with a few 'rooms without a roof'. To relax there, to enjoy the view, with a cup of coffee, tea or chocolate, in company. Or to retreat there in peace with a book, or simply lost in thought.

A sleek wooden spiral staircase connects six stylish spacious rooms, two on each floor. And in each room, the light streams generously in, while you gaze at the grandiose, green valley below. While the aristocracy in the past walked slowly in their castles and palaces, today we move quickly and often run to the beat of the digital clock and a busy schedule. But if you listen carefully and pay attention, the 'manor' in 'Les Mirandes' still speaks to you in a whisper. And although the grandfather clock has now become a decor - read: a thing of the past forever - the 'time of yesteryear' still vibrates unabated in the walls and materials, just as the spaces and the air are still full of it, which you breathe in and out. In Les Mirandes you can fully enjoy a source of relaxation, natural beauty, reflection and inspiration.
